Memorial Day..
What Memorial day is to me:
When I was little Memorial day was going to my grandpa's grave with my Mom,Dad and Grandma and cutting flowers to put on his grave...My Grandma was a wonderful gardener and she always grew the best flowers..She was so cute with getting them in buckets and getting them to the cemetery so my grandpa and an uncle I never meet had flowers...I miss that...I miss my Grandma...I miss my mom and I miss my dad..They are all now laying there with my Grandpa...He was alone for a long time there at the cemetery..Now, he has a lot of company.
I hope I have enough in me to go there and give them all flowers...I hate that cemetery...I hate going there and not having my mom, dad and grandma there talking to me...I know I will see them again...I just miss them so much today....I miss hearing their voices...I miss there hugs and their encouragement they always gave me...But, I want my children to know where they are...I want my children to know who they were and know how wonderful they are...
Memorial Day is remembering....I remember how much I love them!

blah...blah...blog :-)
So, I am bored and not very motivated today...I have been reading a ton of different blogs...I am reading more and more hippie Mommy blogs today...Wow! How do hippie mommies do it all?? Cloth diapers (scary) Vintage clothing (I don't have time to find that) Organic meals (man I have a hard time with mac & cheese) Making crafty items (Yeah, that is always a disaster!) Home school for the kiddos (I want my kids smarter then me!!)
I love reading these blogs...because they help me realize I can do more. ( which is good, I think?) I can be better to the environment and be better with healthy foods and such...But, Wow..How do they always do it! Everyday!! They do it everyday!! ...I bet they don't have a job..I know being a mom is a job...Well, I have that one (I LOVE my mommy job!!!) but, I also have a job that pays me money (OK, not great money)...I wish I didn't have to go to my job...Maybe I could be a hippie Mommy :-)
Just thinking and being amazed! AMAZED!!

Autism Walk Email I recieved...Sounds like it went great!! :-)
We Did It, Utah !
On Saturday, May 2nd, over 2,000 people braved the rain to attend the 2nd annual Utah Walk Now for Autism at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah and raised over $145,000 for Autism Speaks so far, funding work in research, family services, advocacy and awareness. Without each of you, this would not have been possible, and for that, we thank you. A special thank you to our newly inducted Grand Club Members, donors, sponsors, Team Captains, walkers, in-kind sponsors, committee, walk day volunteers, Resource Fair Vendors, entertainers, supporters and friends. Together, we made a difference in the lives of so many. THANK YOU to all of you for joining together to raise our voices for autism awareness in the Utah !
Congratulations go out to Walk Chair Tricia Nelson, all the Committee Chairs (listed below) and to their committees who have worked tirelessly to plan this very successful event:

Thanks also go out to Mrs. Utah America , Tiffany Nelson, for her support as well as to the One Voice Children's Choir led by Masa Fakuda who performed the National Anthem.

Need ideas on how to reach your team goal by the end of the year? Contact us at utah@autismspeaks.org or check out the great wrap around ideas in your Walker Tools!
Also, please keep your eye out for an invitation to our Walk Appreciation Family Picnic. This will be an opportunity for us all to get together again soon (out of the rain!), to recognize the efforts of everyone that made Walk Now for Autism a success, and to celebrate our community! Again, thank you all for your continued support of the 2nd Annual Utah Walk Now for Autism. Without you, this Walk would not be possible.

Why does it have to be evil??
As most of you know I have been eating only soft foods...Well, because I am always trying to sabotage my diet I decided ice cream and pudding would be a great idea...Well, now I have gained 7 pounds..I am way bloated and well I don't feel so good...Why does ice cream have to be evil?? Why when I only look at it and think about its yummy flavor do I gain a pound...I should just start telling myself I am allergic to it and stop eating it all together...But, it is soooo good!
I guess more protein shakes and less pudding and ice cream...Blah!

Fresh New Look..
Since I have been stuck home recovering I thought I would give my blog a fresh new look...I hope everyone likes it!! I am learning a lot about blogging...I am really proud of myself! I put a flashy Autism banner at the bottom..I put cute pictures of my kiddos along the side...I feel so fancy :-) I look like a real blogger!!
Healing....Slowly..
My mouth is killing me today!! I woke up in a ton of pain...I took my Ibuprofen and pain medicine..Oh, and I am starving!! I just want to eat some real food...No more protein shakes! No more pudding and No more ice cream!! I know that sounds crazy...How can anyone get sick of ice cream and pudding...Well, I am!! I just want to eat some meat and veggies!! I better lose weight this week with no real food going into my tummy...I better get something out of this..Other then pain and swelling..
What is even worse is my hubby has a fancy awards banquet tomorrow..I get to go but I wont be able to eat anything...Unless there is mashed potatoes...I really, really hope there is mashed potatoes! So I will get to sit there with a soar mouth and watch everyone eat yummy food...Torture!!
The really great thing is my hubby is getting an award!! I am so proud of him!! I will suffer torture to see my hubby get his award...He is so amazing!!

Trip to the Oral surgeon...
Yesterday I lost a nerve and a tumor...I was so nervous!! I am a big wimp when it comes to needles and IVs and that kind of stuff..My hubby drove me to the Oral surgeon and he picked up my medicine while I was getting cut open..He also drove me home..I think I made a fool of myself when they were waking me up from the surgery...I seem to remember asking to look at the tumor and telling the nurse she had really pretty hair..Who knows what else I said..My head is killing me my mouth is super swollen and I have stitches everywhere...Once my mouth heals I will have lost feeling on the top of my mouth because the surgeon had to take out a nerve that was attached to my tumor..Maybe that will help with my weight loss if I cant taste food as well {grin} That would be a good thing! Anyways I am doing fine I have lots of Ibuprofen and pain medicine..And lots and lots of pudding and ice cream..The calories don't count after surgery...I hope {wink}
P/S
I am writing this while on heavy pain medicine...I hope it makes sense {grin}
Now back to bed....

Tons of people showed up and they had smiles on there faces...The rain came down like crazy but it wasn't cold rain..Everyone was super nice and was willing to do whatever we needed to be done! I had GREAT volunteers!! Some amazing groups helped out and some amazing individuals helped also..I am so grateful!! What an amazing event!! I don't know why I get nervous...I guess just fearing the unknown...I am so happy I helped out with this walk!
